ON the DOORSTEP
Coast Lodge is at the heart of the Roseland and all that it has to offer.

It is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as well as a foodies heaven. It is home to some of the most secluded and unspoilt beaches in Cornwall. The National Trust beach, Towan, is just a 15 minute walk down the hill, complete with the Thirstea Tea Van for cakes with a sea view. Or why not contact Cornish Rock Tours, an adventure sports company offering Coasteering, Kayaking and more from Towan beach.

Eating out in Portscatho includes the Michelin-starred Driftwood; old smugglers pub The Plume of Feathers; and stylish yet family friendly The Rosevine. Porthcurnick beach has the Hidden Hut, famous for feast nights, as well as delicious fish and chips from The Atlantic Fryer. There are two art galleries, gift shops and Ralphs for all your essentials including post office, cashpoint and a delivery of hot pasties at noon everyday. Tatams on the slipway has excellent coffee and croissants.

The pretty village of St Mawes, just 15 minutes by car, has many lovely restaurants and shops to explore, as well as its own 16th century castle. Contact St Mawes Kayaks, Mini Cruises and Water taxis, to arrange a taxi boat to collect you from Trewince Quay and arrive in style. Lunch on the terrace of Olga Polizzi's Tresanton Hotel is a real treat.
From the pretty harbour you can catch a ferry to Falmouth, visit the National Maritime Museum or Pendennis castle. The Cathedral city of Truro can also be reached by a river trip on Enterprise boats.

From Trewince you can explore wider Cornwall, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden project and Flambards all reached within an hour.
